Florida Marlins baseball as a main Miami Attraction   by Half Price Tour Tickets

I am not the biggest baseball fan in the world but my cousin from Atlanta, Georgia is. He’s one of the biggest baseball geeks I’ve ever met. I am from Miami Beach, Florida. I am going to talk about the time my cousin and I went to see a Florida Marlins game. My cousin and I are the same age and the time we went to see this baseball game we were both 19 years old.
He was down from Atlanta for a week vacation during the summer. We hadn’t seen each other since we had both gotten our drivers licenses so this particular vacation was going to extremely exciting for both of us. My cousins parents (my aunt and uncle) are very wealthy so my cousin has it made. The first thing we did when he got down here was rent an exotic car. I was all about getting a convertible Ferrari but he decided on a convertible Bentley. His reasoning was in case we met two girls, we would need a car that could fit four. I must admit I like the way my cousin thinks.
So he had me all pumped up to meet girls but as it turned out he had already bought tickets for the Marlins baseball game online. I wasn’t too happy about this but he was so excited because he got the tickets for half price. I don’t know why this mattered to him considering his parents are loaded, but I digress. So we were on our way to Sun Life Stadium where the Marlins play. It was a perfect baseball day with sunny skies and barely any humidity. We pulled up in the parking lot and all the heads were turning to look at the fancy rental car we were driving. Unfortunately all the attention was from a bunch of middle aged men as there were no girls what so ever at this game, at least not remotely close to us in age. So we entered the stadium and it looked to me that there were more people in the parking lot than inside the actual park.
My cousin informed me that this was usually the case with Marlins games. My cousin is an Atlanta Brave fan and the Marlins were playing the Philadelphia Phillies who are the Brave’s biggest rivals. So it seemed we were both cheering for Florida on this day. After trying to get beers, but not being able to because we are not of age, a huge thunder cloud started forming overhead. It was about the fourth inning and it started to pour. I wanted to leave but my cousin was not having that. So we waited in the pouring rain for about a half hour before it finally let up and they resumed the game. It was the most boring game. In the 8th inning the score was still 0 to 0. All of the sudden a fly ball came sailing right towards us.
And then just as suddenly one of the elderly ladies that we had seen in the parking lot appeared directly in front of my cousin and pretty much stole the ball from him. My cousin was not happy to say the least. So finally in the 13th inning (because the game stayed tied at zero, so there were extra innings) the Phillies ended the game with a walk-off grand slam. They ended up destroying the Marlins 4 to 0.
So when we got back to the car to leave we realized that we had left the top to the convertible down. My cousin and I both had to spend the better part of a year working to pay for the repairs on that car. My cousin does not care for baseball so much anymore. Also we never met any girls. I wish we would have spent our day in South Beach instead. I hate baseball.   Miami Attractions
