sports predictions
Why do sports analyists suck at predictions?

especially the ones on ESPN
football is probably the most unpredictalbe sport
so why do they always predict in favor of the team that won the certain game last year or the team that was better last year

They go for the “I told you so” factor. They’ll pick teams that really don’t appear to have as big of a shot as other teams so they can say “I told you so” but they’re usually wrong. I saw somewhere, one of them actually said Steelers and Seahawks would repeat….How the hell…how much crack is he doing? I think last year somebody picked the Raiders….heh, that was a bust.

I agree, it is unpredictable…how many people expected 13-0 Colts? Nobody except stupid diehard fans who think their team is god or something… 16 games, one game last season in the NFC could have meant 1st round by or not even in the playoffs…A lot of 11-5 records and a 10-6…Carolina was 11-5 wild card, one more win would have put them in the bye game, one loss and a Dallas win would have knocked them out of the playoffs…nobody can predict that kind of thing.
