How to turn off the Wii Console and wii remotes?
Wii remotes – how to turn it off without taking out the batteries?
Wii console – how to turn it off so that the power button isn’t orange/yellow, but red?
The yellow light just means you have activated The Wii 24 connection which leaves it connected to the internet while it is “off”. This allows you to recieve messages during “downtime”. If you want the red light then deactivate your Wii 24 connectivity option. The Wii remotes will turn the console off when you press and hold the power button on the remotes for a second or two. Then the remotes will automatically power down when not in use after a few minutes.
There is nothing wrong when the yellow light is on. It just means your Wii can recieve messages from the internet while it is off.
